Well. That is one epic trip done and dusted. Over 2 thousand km. 30 passengers. Perth, Williams, Albany, Ravensthorpe, Esperance, Hyden and everything in between.

Phew!

Feet up and really enjoying not hearing a coach engine.

Cold beers are sliding down nicely.

Ha. Yet again a rainy day but true to form my passengers remained dry at every stop!!

Today was a wildflower day and boy did we find some. Including some interesting fungus.

Sometimes the simplest of trips turn out to be absolutely fascinating.

Today took us to Woodman Point Quarantine Station for a private 2 hour tour.

Wow. So much history here.

Right on our doorstep.

Lunch at Cicerellos followed by a visit to Perths most colourful shop!

I have a handful of rooms left for what should be an amazing experience in Esperance.

See below for a short overview.

DEPART 14th October
RETURNS 19th October

6 days, 5 nights.

Day 1 Depart Perth and stop for lunch at Williams Woolshed.
Continue through to Narrogin for the night
Day 2 Visit the Lace museum, and Wave Rock.
Continue our journey stopping at Ravensthorpe for lunch.
Onward to the Comfort Inn in Esperance.
Day 3 Visit Luck Bay, Cape Le Grande and Stonehenge.
Day 4 Esperance Island cruise. An early start for today. A wonderful 3 1/2hr cruise.
Departing from Taylor St Jetty, cruise through eight islands in the Recherche Archipelago, experiencing the spectacular wildlife up-close and personal in their natural environment.
Explore further with us travelling a total of 55km while enjoying a full commentary.
Our regular sightings include
– New Zealand Fur Seals
– Australian Sea Lions
– Cape Barren Geese
– Common and Bottlenose Dolphins
– White-Bellied Sea Eagles (including feeding)
– Whales (season dependent)
Complimentary morning tea consisting of a large muffin, tea, coffee & water is provided in the protected bay of Blue Haven.
A total of 3.5hrs. Departing 8.30am & Returning 12.00pm followed by lunch and free time in Esperance townsite.
Day 5 Make our way via a scenic drive through to Albany for an overnight stop
Day 6 Travel home with lunch at Williams again, making a stop at Mt Barker and maybe a few other places time dependent.

What a great day.
Simple but fascinating.

Morning tea at the Wilkinson Homestead in Gosnells. Thanks to the City of Gosnells and Catherine for her wonderful talk on the history.

Next, the Gemstone factory in Orange Grove. Wow. Never knew rocks were so valuable. Amazing.

That makes the ones in my head priceless!!😂😂

Top it off with a superb lunch at the Last Drop Elizabethan tavern. Thankyou Emily and your staff. Feedback was a unanimous YES!!

Well, would ya look at that.
Canola is out. A week or two and it will be just stunning as more flowers. It won’t last long so get out there and check it out before it’s gone.

Good grief.

That’s 10kg, yes, 10kg of meatballs ready to go AND
27kg of carrot cake in the freezer.

To put that in perspective, that’s around 570 meatballs and 720 serves of carrot cake.

Should do me for a few trips. 🤣

Whilst it may have been raining in Perth today, it wasn’t the case in York. One small shower and beautiful sunshine!

So, this has been the busiest Christmas in July on record.

11 Christmas roasts and one to go. Actually two. One on Thursday but technically it’s not Xmas in July.

I’m over roast lunches! 🤣
