Heating is via an open fireplace in the main room and a medium wood heater in the back room. Wood provided.
House History: The Pebble House was originally a mud and slab house inhabited by a mining family. Apparently 16 children were raised there. The house was restored in the 60’s, with pebbles, retaining many of the original features of the miner’s cottage. Given that it is built to original specifications; if you are over 5ft 4inches tall, YOU MUST DUCK YOUR HEAD WHEN ENTERING DOORWAYS AND VERANDAH. The Slab Hut was a blacksmith shop and most likely the original house.
