The season of whale sharks is about to get underway, & the reports from the Galapagos Islands are of "bus" size whalesharks swimming around the islands waiting for you!

Amazing dive buddies!

I had the privilege of spending time with this amazing couple Sue & Keith Reid. They booked with Pelagic Dive Travel before COVID to travel to the Conflict Islands, Paradise in the Coral Sea, and last week it was possible.

Thank you guys, it was an amazing trip with great company. I hope we can go diving together again in the future!

We had an amazing experience late yesterday afternoon helping to release baby green sea turtles.

We went with Ranger Steven from Conflict Islands Conservation Initiative to help baby turtles reach the ocean safely. Part of the CICI program is to take measurements & record the success rate for each nest. This nest unfortunately had been affected by a high tide which flooded it one week after being laid so the hatch level was low.

The turtles are not harmed by the rangers in this process & being released at sunset means the little ones have a higher chance of getting to the ocean & swimming to a safer area without birds & sharks attacking them.

Hopefully Ranger Steven will see them return years later to lay eggs of their own.

Dive the Conflict Islands, PNG!

The Conflcit Islands in Papua New Guinea has a fantastic Dive Trip with a Liveaboard & Resort stay, departing the 13 April to 21 April 2023.

Travel from Alotau onboard the Underwater Explorer, stopping at remote areas where abundant marine life swims. This allows you to see many spectacular spots even before arriving at the Conflcit Islands.

Once arriving, you will spend five nights in resort accommodation on the main island of Panesea, with meals each day.

The Conflcit Islands is a Hope Spot, listed by Mission Blue., which means it has unique & abundant marine life. Each dive will bring joy and happiness as you explore the dive sites around the 21 Islands. With carpets of colourful & healthy coral, you will be amazed.

Awesome Manta Ray! On our way to the Conflict Islands, Paradise in the Coral Sea we stopped for our first (& second) dive at Manta Ray Point, off Gona Bara Bara Island, PNG.
