DocTours offers medical professionals and students with the opportunity to combine voluntary work in interesting locations with their next holiday.

DocTours arranges medical electives and short term volunteer work placements in developing countries for doctors, nurses, medical students and allied health professionals. Non-medical partners are also welcome and can help teach English to the local children. DocTours and Amaco Travel have successfully arranged high quality medical conferences for doctors over the past 25 years. The conferences we

re always located in interesting destinations (including Cuba, the Amazon Jungle, the Silk Road, Russia, Namibia, Botswana and the Black Sea). All details were meticulously handled so that doctors enjoyed an informative medical conference in conjunction with a fascinating journey. During their travels, the doctors regularly expressed the desire to ‘give something back’ and that lead to the formation of the AMOS Fund and also inspired the creation of our volunteering program. Derek Matz and Karin Eurell have been offering doctors, medical professionals, nurses, allied health practitioners, medical students and partners with the opportunity to get involved with some worthwhile voluntary work for eight years. DocTours provides professional service and advice on all aspects including the destination, the placements and the travel arrangements. We have travelled to each destination and we have developed relationships directly with local hospitals and medical clinics as well as accommodation providers in each destination so that we can arrange the best placement for you and maintain high standards. We offer high quality service as many placements are customised for the specific preferences of each volunteer. We can provide advice and assistance with all of your travel arrangements and suggest that you book your own flights on the internet as we know that there are lots of very competitive airfares online. An amazing opportunity as winter sets in ….

𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗧𝗩 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗮.

You will need to be able to travel from the UK on the evening of Saturday 18th June to be ready for a flight to Samoa on Tuesday 21st June. If you are located in Australia, you will need to be ready for deployment on Tuesday 21st June. Fully vaccinated for COVID 19 and up to date vaccinations for travel to a tropical location.

The length of production is up to 9th October, but we are willing to accept a shorter period. You will receive a day rate of £250-£300 depending on experience, hotel accommodation, meals and laundry included. Per Diems of A$17 for days on location. 6 Day working week.
