I'm on the countdown (7 sleeps) to France with a side trip across to Bath UK.

There I'll be researching my ancestor 'On Location'!. The Story Hunter

This one was a convict - arrival into NSW c1820.

PLUS!... I'm organising to meet with someone who is really ' IN THE KNOW'! An Archaeologist! 😯

I was just sitting here working on my laptop and overheard some women were talking about why one of them believes this Winter is going to a COLD WINTER. 🥶

Apparently... the pet birds were moulting and growing new feathers in February which is very early so it might be a good idea to make like a squirrel and prepare now.

DISHES SMASH on the floor with incredible force.

Crying, yelling, screaming is heard by the girl as she lay in her bed.

Bodies struggling and thud, followed by the words ‘I am leaving! We are finished!’

Then the door slams.

As a child listening to this she’s now confused, distraught and sobbing into her pillow so no-one could hear her.

Where does that leave her and her younger siblings as she falls to sleep in the silent aftermath?

The next morning the girl wakes and dares to go to the kitchen and living room.

She sees that while all of the furniture is upright and the broken dishes were roughly cleaned up the house wasn’t sparkling the way her mother usually left it.

But the girl was just happy to see that her mother had returned and was asleep on the lounge although there was dried blood and her face was showing some swelling.

This is not the first time that her parents have argued but she couldn’t remember her mother ever threatening to leave, so it was scary.

What if her mother leaves in the middle of the night again but doesn’t return?

What if her father goes to Vietnam again? He was gone for a long time, last time.

Where would she and her siblings live?

Another ACEs has just been created.

Also, for this young woman, she grew up thinking her life was ‘normal’, so not knowing any better, she too became the unwilling victim of similar brutality.

BUT! Fortunately, the strength that she had developed over the years was enough for and her children to leave the relationship immediately, no matter how difficult it would be.

Something she did wonder though was, did her children witness that?

Deep down she knew that she was deserving of so much more and she vowed her children would not be a witness as she had been when she was a child.

This young mother was not at all concerned about starting again - it was an instinct - a gut feeling that they would be ok and they would always be safe and living in a healthy environment.

She grew above that old lifestyle and in time, began studying and working hard, sometimes 2 jobs and she was pleased at how her children now adults became welcomed members of their communities.

ACEs - Acronym for Adverse Childhood Experiences

Research has shown approximately 70% of children will have three or more of the ten ACEs.

Subconsciously as the child grows the pain and hurt from those memories rises and in adults at any age will be exposed and creates character traits, unpleasant character traits that if left unattended can cripple and Destroy families, relationships and future lives by way of anxiety depression addictions anger and a whole gamut more.

But it doesn't have to be like that!

Simple and easy techniques when implemented regularly can change the trajectory of those lives so they too can be happy and those people can achieve their dreams and desires.

Some of the speakers are Suzi Dent, Terri Tonkin and Heather Kinang.

These ladies have had massive challenges and succeeded by transforming their personal lives.
