Here's a quick glimpse into our Maasai Village Immersion, a walk back in time to get to know a culture that has existed for hundreds of years.
Did you know... Maasai are tall because of the rich calcium diet intake from animal products, particularly the mixture of blood and milk that they traditionally drink. Maasai men often reach up to 6-foot 3-inch and even seem taller when they are practicing their traditional jumping ceremonies.

Wholesome moments reaching the Roof of Africa! ✨
Good music, stunning scenery, and great company!
We rarely play music on treks, but when moral is low and no-one else is around, music can really get the team inspired to keep on pushing.
Up the mountain, we go! Footage on the final ascent into Barafu Camp (4,673m).

We have ABSOLUTELY LOVED exploring Africa with Jeanette over the past 3 weeks. Jeanette fully embraced Africa, was willing to get outside of her comfort zone and just had the most unforgettable adventure. Don't believe us, here's what Jeanette thought...

We're so proud of Robyn for reaching The Roof of Africa!
Summiting Kilimanjaro has been a dream of Robyn's since 2019, a dream made harder when she got a chest infection during her trek. With sheer determination, and under the very close watch of our experienced guides, Robyn achieved her goal and was overcome with a little emotion once she realised the incredible feat she had achieved.
Congratulations Robyn! We can't wait to trek again with you in Ethiopia!

Best African Lodges Feature #3: Sekenani Camp: Nestled on a wooden hill overlooking the Masai Mara Conservation Area, Sekenani Camp is the perfect place to unwind during your African safari. Sekani provides an intimate, secluded, and private oasis where you can wine, dine, swim and properly unwind. Each tent has a wooden floor, decadent queen size bed, en suite with toilet, shower and a large bath, and a balcony where you can watch the wildlife with a glass of wine. The area is an important breeding place for elephants and you may also see various kinds of wild animals within a few kilometres from your camp. One of the things we love most about Sekenani is how they contribute to the local community and the environment. The resort creates many jobs for the local Maasai tribe, who also collect rent and a daily fee per guest from the resort. Sekenani is very eco-friendly with all solid waste being disposed of onsite, eco-friendly products like soap and shampoo, and many of the delicious vegetables served by their team of skilled chefs are grown onsite. Sekenani is one of our favourite safari camps, particularly if you want to witness the great migration.

Adventure For A Cause
In episode 5 of Nate's BIG 5, we talk about how you can make a difference when you travel in Africa.
At Adventure Out Loud, we believe travel can be used as a catalyst for change. We're an Africa adventure company on a mission to make a difference in the world by donating 50% of our profits to keep disadvantaged children in school.
One of our major differentiators is how we have integrated the 'for a cause' element of our business into everything we do.
In this episode, we talk about why making a difference in Africa is important to us and some of the ways we maximise our impact. We also provide examples for how you can make a difference during your adventure and we talk to some of the students we have sponsored through school and to some of the amazing adventurers who have travelled with us in the past.
By choosing to travel with us, not only will you get an authentic and unforgettable African experience, you'll also have the opportunity to sponsor a child through school AND meet them in person during your adventure.
If you LOVE travel and want to make a difference in the world, join the Adventure Out Loud community today: www.adventureoutloud.me
Tomorrow night at 6pm AEST is Nate's BIG 5: Adventure for a Cause! You'll learn about how you can make a difference when you travel Africa and also meet a few special guests so don't miss it!
