Yes I love Red Robins! Here is the male Red-capped Robin.
Crimson Chat near Manilla!
Here is a short video of today's stunning find near Manilla! Crimson Chats are extremely rare vagrants east of the Macquarie Marshes. And here is the male. The female was nearby. I got a short video of her too. This species is close to being my favourite just behind the robins. Sorry about the quality. The flies were very annoying and making it near impossible holding the camera still.
Chestnut-breasted Mannikins
Reputedly the fastest bird in the world..... or a few young finches. Oh what video would you like!?!?! I've gone the finches, or Chestnut-breasted Mannikins. They are just beginning to gain their adult plumage as they head into Spring.
