Birding around the Tamworth region is my game. I live in Manilla and love getting out and finding birds, and have lived for many years around the Kempsey / Port Macquarie area too. Thus I have extensive knowledge of this zone and would love to share my secret sites and favourite species with you!

Yes I love Red Robins! Here is the male Red-capped Robin.

Here is a short video of today's stunning find near Manilla! Crimson Chats are extremely rare vagrants east of the Macquarie Marshes. And here is the male. The female was nearby. I got a short video of her too. This species is close to being my favourite just behind the robins. Sorry about the quality. The flies were very annoying and making it near impossible holding the camera still.

Reputedly the fastest bird in the world..... or a few young finches. Oh what video would you like!?!?! I've gone the finches, or Chestnut-breasted Mannikins. They are just beginning to gain their adult plumage as they head into Spring.
