Art Nurture paintings are done. I love them. All so different and individual. The kids all chose their own reference pictures and certainly didn’t shy away from a challenge. Awesome work, very proud 👌 . .

There is more than one way to paint a tree 🌳 turning your painting upside down helps you see the shapes better and not get bogged down in the details. It also helps you paint the top of your painting if you’re not tall enough yet 😆

Lesley’s beautiful poppy pod print, the first of many wonderful designs. Celia started a new reduction print and my reduction print is still very much a work in progress. I need to tweak the green colour but going right direction I think. Nevertheless another charming night with good company in the studio. Fancy joining us, message me!! . .

Yesterday I had the pleasure of having Lucy and her crew in the studio for an afternoon of tie dye and watercolour. I was quite happy with my demo piece. I hope everyone had a blast unwrapping their tie dye. It’s always a bit of a wow moment. Happy Sunday and Fathers Day! . .

We kicked off this terms Art Nurture classes with some watercolour play. Exploring wet on wet technique, dropping colour into pretty bubbles and using a variety of brush shapes and sizes to paint some gorgeous flowers. Those that wanted to dabbled with a bit of gold leaf… . .

Waste to Art is on at Mudgee Arts Precinct and includes these masterpieces by the Art Nurture crew. So much fun for them to make and, while very hot glue messy, a true delight for me to watch them get inspired!!
Always such a fun exhibition. Highly recommend checking it out if for nothing else these fabulous pieces.

Art Nurture is back!! Thank you being patient with me in the lead up to my exhibition. This term Mondays will be looking at faces and we kicked off looking at how certain marks and lines can create different characters and emotions. We made some fun character slides. School holiday clay and SIG Kids creations are all ready to collect. They look amazing 🤩 . . . You guys know the drill. I will put them all labelled by our front door and you can swing by as soon as is convenient. Please be gentle when looking for your package as some creations are very fragile. Thank you again for coming to the workshops and I hope your little ones are thrilled with their pieces ⭐️
