Are you ready to set sail on an adventure through one of Australia’s most iconic cruising destinations? Ocean Dream Charters is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and professional Deckhand to join our team for the 2025 Kimberley & West Coast cruise season.

About the Role
As a Deckhand, you’ll be integral to delivering exceptional guest experiences aboard our luxury charter catamaran.
Must have strong tender driving skills, wash downs, and detailing, ensuring presentation of the vessel is to a luxury standard.
Assisting with navigation and deck operations, including tender launches and land excursions.
Supporting fishing and other on-water activities.

Key Requirements
Experienced in working aboard luxury or expedition vessels.
Qualified with a current AMSA Coxswain Grade 1 or MC5.
Skilled in fishing and other recreational water activities.
Energetic, proactive, and capable of working in a team environment.
Passionate about showcasing the stunning Kimberley landscapes and marine life.
Previous Kimberley experience is highly regarded.

Applicants must be fit, able to access all areas of the vessel, and willing to engage in all necessary project tasks.

Rostered work based out of Broome or FIFO from Perth.
Operating with 6 crew and 12 guests.
Start date: Late February.

Our Story

Ocean Dream is a luxurious 26 metre catamaran, purposely built for negotiating water passages unique to the Kimberley region. Recently fitted with a state-of-the-art buoyancy system, guests can be assured of superior comfort out at sea. The vessel has an onboard helipad and can accommodate 12 guests in 6 elegant staterooms. With these smaller guest numbers, Ocean Dream will feel like your own private vessel with no queues and no crowds.

All meals and non-alcoholic drinks are included and gourmet meals are prepared by the onboard chef. Guests consistently report that the meals are one of the highlights of the cruise. There are many places to relax on the vessel wi th lounging and dining areas located on the bow, aft deck, flybridge deck and in the saloon. The vessel has a superior air conditioning system as well as a spa to cool off during those balmy Kimberley days.

Staterooms

Ocean Dream can accommodate guests in Superior Staterooms located on the Flybridge and Main Decks in queen and twin configuration with large panoramic windows. The Deluxe Queen Staterooms are accessed from the main deck down a short flight of steps and have 2 large rectangular portholes. All staterooms have spacious private ensuites, individual climate control, LCD televisions, hairdryers, storage facilities and are serviced daily.
