The first ever photograph taken of the Ka'ba, in 1861, using a wet-plate collodion camera, by the Ottoman Egyptian engineer Muhammad Sadiq Bey (d. 1902), who had studied in France and bought a camera from there back to Egypt.
Photography was barely 20 years old at this time.
Sadiq Bey went to Makkah twice, first time in 1861, and next time in 1880, and took pictures during both trips. This picture is from his second trip in 1880!

A better translation would have been:

"Preserve/take care of each drop of water ... because it is a precious blessing (from Allah)."

Day 11: Leaving Makkah.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) loved his hometown of Makkah:

Abdullah ibn ‘Adi reported: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was standing near Mecca and saying,

وَاللَّهِ إِنَّكِ لَخَيْرُ أَرْضِ اللَّهِ وَأَحَبُّ أَرْضِ اللَّهِ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَلَوْلَا أَنِّي أُخْرِجْتُ مِنْكِ مَا خَرَجْتُ

“By Allah, you are the best and most beloved land to Allah. Had I not been driven away from you, I would not have left you.”

Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3925 - Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani.

Day 10: Tawaf Riding on A Electric Scooter.

Al-Bukhaari (1530) and Muslim (1272) narrated that Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) did tawaf during the Farewell Pilgrimage on a camel.

In Saheeh Muslim (1273) it is narrated that Jaabir said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) circumambulated the House during the Farewell Pilgrimage, on his mount, touching the Stone with his crooked staff, so that the people could see him and so that he could see them, and so that they could ask him questions, for the people had crowded around him.

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah and Hudhayfah (may Allaah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah led those who came before us away from Friday. The Jews had Saturday, and the Christians had Sunday. Then Allaah brought us and Allaah guided us to Friday. So there is Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and thus they will follow us on the Day of Resurrection. We are the last of the people of this world but we will be the first on the Day of Resurrection, and we will be dealt with before all others.”

Narrated by Muslim, 856.
