In 2023 we were awarded Gold in the Ecotourism category at the Western Australia Tourism Awards, totalling three consecutive years. We additionally earned a coveted place in the Western Australia Tourism Hall of Fame, and two additional Gold accolades at the Australian Tourism Awards. We are firm

believers in our mission; we want to reclaim time in a meaningful way and give people the space to feel something. We give guests the best opportunity to create authentic, life-changing experiences that challenges them to grow. Live Ningaloo was born from a desire to break away from the crowd. Co-founders Murray and Sonia identified a gap in the market during Murray's tenure as a fishing guide at Sal Salis Ningaloo tented camp. They dared to swim against the tide, creating a tour company focused solely on small-scale, single swimming groups. At Live Ningaloo, we believe in quality over quantity, and our ultimate vision is to leave people, place, and the wild better than how we found it. What will you see on tour with us? 👀

The Ningaloo is home to an incredible array of marine life, including of course, megafauna! Every day on the water is unique because we respect these animals in their natural environment - no feeding, no coaxing, just real, unscripted encounters. That’s what makes swimming with them here so special.
During Whale Shark season, our priority is to look for and swim with Whale Sharks. During our Life on Ningaloo season, this is when we let nature lead the way and we are in for a surprise of what's in store!

Want to do something unexpected this year? How about swimming with some of the ocean's gentle giants? 🙋🏼‍♀️

From August to October we immerse ourselves in the ever-changing wildlife calendar and relish in the opportunities where we could potentially swim with megafauna such as Humpback Whales, Manta Rays.... and yes, even Whale Sharks. There is no particular marine life we are looking for, and let nature bring us a different day, every day. 🌞

Yes we love the big fish on the Ningaloo, but we're suckers for our favourite turtle friends. This time of year there are so many nesting, and many hatching on our beaches! 🐢🏝💙

Did you know that turtles have incredible lung capacity and can stay underwater for up to 5 hours without needing to take a breath?
