Beat The Heat On A Water-Based Wilderness Adventure 💧

Many of our wild and rugged wilderness regions are difficult to access on foot, making our water-based adventures a popular choice, offering a unique way to explore them. Tasmania, Western Australia, Queensland and South Australia all have seemingly un-discoverable places that can be accessed by a range of micro-cruises, rafting, kayaking, or even packrafting.

It was a privilege to experience the beauty of the Karijini Gorges and Ningaloo Reef.Walks weren’t even half as difficult as described. It must be years of my bushwalking lifestyle that paid off." K.D, VIC, Australia

In April 2024, we collaborated with Reconciliation Australia to develop a Reconciliation Action Plan. Our vision for reconciliation is to foster cultural safety within our communities, organisation, and across the lands we are privileged to share.

Over the next six months, we will incorporate Aboriginal place names alongside colonial names for towns, cities, and sites featured in our Australian itineraries. This initiative supports the preservation of Aboriginal languages and strengthens the connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have with their culture and identity.

This is just one way we are putting our commitment to reconciliation in Australia into practice.

Just in time for Australia Day, the World Expeditions Foundation, through its Regenerative 2030 program, has provided 800 culturally significant books to school children in remote Indigenous communities across Australia.

This initiative was delivered in partnership with The Indigenous Literacy Foundation's Book Supply program. Notably, over 50% of the books included in the Book Supply packs are authored and illustrated by Indigenous creators, offering Indigenous children the opportunity to see their own culture and stories reflected in the pages—fostering a sense of connection, belonging, and pride.

Just $10 puts a culturally relevant book into the hands of a First Nations student >>
