Words like 'unique' and 'sanctuary' get bandied around a lot when it comes to accommodation. We fall into the former category. Broger's End is an environmentally-friendly retreat and haven in the stunning Kangaroo Valley of NSW - just a couple of hours south of Sydney. We do things a bit differently around here. ests feel like they're 'coming home' (again, sounds a bit w***y but bear with us here) when they arrive. This is your space to make the most of when you arrive. Mi casa su casa and all of that. One of the original dairy farms of the region, the 160 acre working property has been lovingly restored using reclaimed and recycled materials into an eco-accredited, sustainable escape. And it's dog-friendly we might add. Just six kilometres outside of the delightful town of Kangaroo Valley, Broger's End offers two accommodation options - The Dairy and The Shed. The Dairy is a cozy and luxurious cottage (you guessed it - formally a dairy) that's perfect for a romantic weekender. It's all in the details - from the top-quality bed and linen and quirky stylings, to the outdoor bath and the farm fresh eggs in the airy kitchenette. All you need to worry about is who to bring. The Shed is Broger's End's newest and proudest addition. Think a big rustic, Australiana shed with an equally big dose of style. Three double bedrooms sleep six upstairs while downstairs, a kitchen replete with all the mod cons and polished concrete benchtops caters for gatherings of families, friends, wedding parties and anything in between. It's an open-plan aficionado's dream, with a communal dining table and comfortable lounge area set right in front of a double-sided wood-burning fire. Sounds nice right? It gets better. The shed itself has a massive party area, just waiting to be decked out for celebrations, workshops and big days. Ask us for more details or come check it out. Guests can and should also enjoy the vegetable garden (pick your own), a pizza oven, BBQ and a massive fire pit. We mentioned that Broger's End sits on a fair few acres but we haven't yet discussed the vistas. And they are glorious. With several kilometres worth of walking tracks we've mapped out, guests are strongly encouraged to lace up, grab a bottle of wine and a blanket and scoot on up the hill to drink in (perhaps literally) incredible views all across the valley.

15 year ago the owners discovered Brogers End while searching for a place that aligned with their vision of sustainability and eco-friendly living. They fell in love with the property not only for its potential to be transformed into a unique retreat but also for the serene Kangaroo River and the majestic trees surrounding it. These natural features, along with the property's inherent beauty, made it the perfect canvas for their eco-haven.

We are more than just a place to stay – we are a working farm! Our two main focuses are beef and fresh produce, and we are proud to say that our guests play a vital role in supporting our mission. By choosing to stay at our farm, you are directly contributing to the conservation work we are so passionate about.

But don't worry, this is not your typical farm experience. Our accommodations are thoughtfully designed to provide you with comfort and luxury, while still giving you a taste of the farm life.

Take a stroll around the farm and you'll come across our friendly cows, chickens, and maybe even some kangaroos. You can also join in on farm activities, such as collecting eggs or feeding the animals.

But the best part of staying at our farm? Knowing that your stay is making a positive impact on the environment. Our conservation efforts include regenerating native vegetation, rehabilitating the riverbank, and implementing sustainable farming practices. And with your support, we can continue to preserve this beautiful piece of land for generations to come.

So why not escape to our working farm and experience a different kind of holiday? Unplug, relax, and immerse yourself in the peaceful surroundings of Broger's End Kangaroo Valley. Book your stay now and be a part of something truly special.

🌊 Did you know the Kangaroo River flows backwards? 🦘💧 Unlike most, this quirky river flows west before connecting with the Shoalhaven River then making its way out to the ocean! 🌅

The Kangaroo River stretches for 47 km, taking a scenic journey from its source in the Budderoo National Park all the way to Lake Yarrunga. 🏞️

Starting at a modest elevation of 650m near Robertson, it cascades down Carrington Falls, meanders through Upper Kangaroo Valley and into the centre of Kangaroo Valley, then onto Tallowa Dam.

Kangaroo River – the river that likes to do things a little differently. Because who wants to flow the same way as everyone else anyway? 🔄✨
