After working as a Retail Manager for 2 decades, first in England and then Australia, my Retail career finale was working for Petbarn where I worked closely with the RSPCA, various animal welfare charities and animal rescues (including fostering kittens). A few years ago I decided to leave Retail Management and I re-trained as a Travel Agent with Flight Centre and I realised that I had found a job

doing something that I loved! After a few years working in stores in Toowoomba & Chapel Hill, I left to move to Travel Partners and am now running my own small business from my home office in Teneriffe, Brisbane. If you’re a fellow cat lover who would like to speak to me about your next holiday please do get in touch. I’d advise that you book in my services well ahead of your planned departure if possible as I cap the number of clients I look after at any one time to ensure the best possible care for all.

This 14th century door at Exeter Cathedral, UK, is thought to be the oldest existing cat flap.
A cat was paid a penny each week, to keep down the rats and mice in the north tower, and a cat flap was cut into the door below the astronomical clock to allow the cat to carry out its duties.

Records of payments were entered in the Cathedral archives from 1305 to 1467, the penny a week being enough to buy food to supplement a heavy diet of rodents.
