What wonderful news - congratulations Meg Brodtmann MW and Mel Gilchrist for taking out the "Best Wine Blog or Podcast" at the Wine Communicators of Australia Awards last week.
Meg Brodtmann MW has a long association with International Cool Climate Wine Show (ICCWS), Meg was Chair of Judges at 2022 ICCWS & received life membership. Mel Gilchrist joined out judging team for the first time in 2022 as an Associate Judge.

Well done ladies - your podcast are a joy to listen too, we also learn something & often have a good laugh too.

One of my most treasured memories as a child was visiting my Great Grandpa Thomas Nicol Cullen, then in his 90s a quite softly spoken gentleman. As a young man he was an Anzac at Gallipoli and saw action in Europe. The horrors he must of encountered as someone so young.

Finally after 3 attempts we’ve made it to Palm Cove - totally chilled & relaxed. Thankfully state premiers & border closures have allowed for a pre-Christmas holiday! Not as busy as I expected Palm Cove to me but loving the vibe of the place & Just what we needed !

Some mornings it’s hard to believe we are in yet another lockdown in Melbourne… I so look forward to the day when I can be posting about new travel adventures again. ❤️ In the meantime, at least the weather is getting better & I get to enjoy these beautiful surrounds in my 5km. It was so beautiful and peaceful yesterday for my walk. Hope everyone is doing whatever they can to relax and get through yet another lockdown. 🤗

Tassie certainly turned on the sunshine! After the past year of many wines, calls & messages it is so nice to catch up with a beautiful friend in person & discover the beautiful part of the 🌎 she calls home. Now the wines are in person.

One of my most treasured memories as a child was visiting my Great grandpa Thomas Nicol Cullen who was then in his 90s. An ANZAC, a Gallipoli & WW1 veteran - I remember a softly spoken, dignified gentleman with a caring heart. He saw action in Gallipoli & in Europe.

He was at war at such a young age, and with my boys now aged 15 & 20 - I look at them and wonder what horrors he must of seen and how a boy must of quickly become a man.

Even in a post Covid Australia, I know that I & my children have enjoyed the freedom because of the sacrifices of ANZACs like my Great Grandpa.

Stunning view of Whisky Bay….
A visit to Whisky Bay in Wilsons Promontory is definitely worth it, a pristine white beach with granite boulders& headlands at either end looks out to Norman Island off the coast.
It truly is a beautiful beach, a photographers’ delight.
After the walk to the beach, we then walked up the hill for stunning views of Whisky Bay and nearby Picnic Bay.
