Two male giraffe testing each other - when fighting gets serious they not only push each other around, they use their heads as clubs. As a male gets older, more calcium is deposited onto the skull, particularly the forehead and 'horn' region. They have been known to knock each other out and even kill each other by this method. It may look romantic 'necking', but it certainly isnt!!

This lion created a fantastic photo opportunity in the Ngorongoro Crater whilst on one of our safaris. What prompted him to come running across the hot open areas and then stand on top of this fallen over tree - we'll never know.
