🚨Update on Australia Passports

From July 1, 2024, 10 year passports that are issued from 16 years of age will increase by 15%. Current price is $346. After July 1 Price will be $401.

From July 1 this year, people will also be able to pay an extra $100 to see their application processed within 5 business days.

The option already exists for people to pay a larger fee of $252 to have their application processed in 2 business days.

So if you need to update your passport do it before July 1 to avoid the price increase.

Travel Insurance

Smartraveller recently surveyed 1000 Traveler’s about Travel Insurance.

Findings:

- 1 in 6 (16%) of those surveyed were not covered by Travel Insurance on their last overseas trip.

- Younger travelers (under 30) were most likely to travel without insurance (60%)

- Travelers were overconfident about their cover they purchased & never read their Product disclosure statements (PDS)

- 34 % said they didn’t purchase travel insurance because they couldn’t afford it.

- 86% of travelers will find ways to keep costs down when they travel, which significantly increases their risk of exposure for things going wrong while on holidays.

These are alarming statistics. 📈

We have a saying in the Travel Industry ‘if you can’t afford Travel Insurance, you can’t afford to Travel’

When you book with me Travel Insurance is one of the first conversations I will have with you when starting to plan your travel.
I always do this right at the start of booking your trip. A lot of people only think to take it out just before they depart.

What about the Airfares you paid for 6 months the ago & the Hotels you booked & paid for on an instant purchase rate that is non refundable. Or the deposit you put down to hold your booking?

These are all things that you are covered for as soon as you purchase a policy. Cancellation prior to your travel & then once you depart, everything else kicks in, travel delay, medical expenses, lost luggage etc….
