Weekends in Broome! An unexpected rodeo, country races in the heat, matsos ginger beers, enjoying learning how to line fish, sunsets that take your breath away, appreciating red soil country, delicious barramundi and oysters, aquamarine waters off the Indian Ocean, finding local trails, exploring off road, swimming and learning about pearl farm operations was a great time!

Lush Singapore where you can’t walk the streets without smelling someone cooking spicy food. Next time I need to get out to rawa island, universal studios, and explore Bintan and batam island. Work summits really get in the way :)

Memories of Singapore. 6 nights to appreciate Singapore orchids, Singapore slings whilst overdosing on peanuts, little India cuisine, tolerate the humidity and observe the extreme shopping culture, admire the mix of old and new, discover what a monitor lizard looks like, drink coconuts on the street whilst wiping away upper lip sweat- it’s quite the experience. Such an easy flight from Perth. The phrase that remains in my head is can… can not. A city that glows at night and makes you want to float in a pool or escape to air conditioning

Appreciating the little things in life. Friendship, nature, discovering new music, soft sand between my toes, refreshing morning salty ovens swims, turquoise waters, laughter with friends, long sleeps, cooking outdoors, exploring national park trails, meeting passionate people at wineries, listening to podcasts, reading, living without rigidity, coffee outdoors, sweating in the wild rain and winds, quality time with people who love the great outdoors. Moments like this make me think of the beautiful French word l'inconnu, uncertainty and how the unknown puts a smile on my face and makes me feel so free. Happy to be alive and healthy in this world.

Cape Town memories. There is so much to explore and learn in this amazing city. I have already built a list of things to do upon my return to this fabulous country. It saddens me that so many people don’t travel here due to fear of safety, I’ve felt safe 100% of the time, and would highly recommend friends and family put South Africa on their bucket list

Bless the French for travelling the world and teaching us all how to make incredible wines. A lot of wineries here in Cape Town are named after the regions people came from in Belgium and France. I loved visiting Boschendal, one of the oldest farms dating back to 1865, learning that whilst there are plenty of oak trees here in South Africa, they were not able to make their own oak barrels here due to the poor quality so they import oak barrels from America, Hungary and Europe. Tasting Pinotage (south’s fricas signature variety) and Sauvignon Blanc with great company in the sun with a picnic has been a delightful way to spend a Wednesday!

Wandering the colourful streets of Bo-Kayo listening to many languages spoken (11 official languages here in SA!) learning how the Dutch brought in slaves from east Africa, Malaysia and Indonesia after the two local tribes refused to work for them. This township is where the slaves lived once they were freed. Africa makes you stop and reflect on humanity as a whole, and to always treat each other as equals.
