These gates are made from F27 Blackbutt, one of the most durable and highly rated Australian hardwoods. The mortise and tenon joinery ensures strength and longevity, while the distinctive black bolts add a bold, refined touch. Installed at a marked height to accommodate upcoming driveway work, every detail was carefully considered. Our process is never rushed - these gates were carefully finished and oiled before leaving our workshop, with a can of our Timber Gate & Fence Oil supplied for ongoing maintenance. This deep-penetrating formula is designed to withstand the extreme conditions our gates face at the front of Australian properties, protecting against drying and weathering for years to come.
To compliment the gates is automation that that performs. Given the wind load factor, we automated these gates with Sommerâs Twist XL motors. With a 4500N thrust, 450mm maximum stroke, and an 800kg rating for 2m leaves, these motors ensure smooth, reliable operation. Some might see just numbers, but we see power, durability, and long-term reliability. Running on low voltage, this system provides seamless automation without compromising the aesthetics at the entrance with visible solar panels.

These gates are our Gentle Sweep design, featured alongside our mortised post and rail. The gates operate manually, with automation to be installed at a later date, so for now they have a discreet throwover latch.

50m of ironbark post and rail with mortise and tenon cross braced gates đĽ
It is fantastic to see our timber rail-style gates solar-powered to open and close at the press of a button.
These feature a custom sliding lock and a classic cross brace design. All hardware installed on these gates is black to match the post and rail fencing we installed at the front entrance.
