We have travelled Australia but today being a beautiful Autumn day and first day of school holidays we took two of our grandchildren to Putty Beach and walked the boardwalk - simply stunning scenery and amazing Tesselated rocks. It was lovely to spend time locally and the sunset tonight was magnificent.

It is good to be home.

Happy Easter - we hope you are enjoying the Easter weekend and the Easter Bunny has been good to you.

We have spent the weekend clearing out our house - thankfully our family have helped us as we couldn't have done it on our own.

No we are not moving, just getting the floors resanded and polished. After 44 years they need a little TLC.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

We had a busy day today with our garage sale and it was good to catch up with some of our coach family who stopped to see what we have been up to. There was lots of reminiscing of favourite tours which brought back many happy memories.

We are slowly but surely getting things done around the house and once we have finished we will probably decide to do a road trip or two ourselves.

Take care everyone we think of you often.

Should any of our coach family be interested in our very practical Scenic Horizon Tours overnight bags (10 left) or those wonderful double insulated stainless steel mugs (24 left) which we used on our 52 day tour around Australia we will have them for sale on Saturday 9th March at our garage sale. Call in and say hi - there is no obligation to buy. 60 Springwood Street, Ettalong Beach.

Today was the last day of our Toowoomba Tour. This was a travel day travelling from Coffs Harbour to home. The sunrise this morning over the ocean was stunning. It has been an easy travel day with pleasant scenery.

We stopped in a roadside area for our morning tea and lunch was enjoyed at The Raymond Terrace Bowling Club.

On arrival back on The Central Coast the minibuses were waiting to return everyone to their homes.

We have had a very memorable six day tour to Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers - this was our last tour and we thank Rodney of Kings of Newcastle for providing the transport.

A huge thankyou to all for being part of our coach family over the last twenty four years - we have always appreciated your support but we are now officially retired.

Thank you for following our tour.

This morning we left Toowoomba and made our way along the Darren Lockyer Way where we saw lovely market gardens.

We passed through Ipswich on our way to Beaudesert where we stopped in the park near the information centre for morning tea and some retail therapy in the craft centre.

We passed through Tweed Heads and Murwillumbah on our way to Ballina for a late lunch. The scenery has been lovely and we have seen attractive bougainvillea in various colours. Mt Warning stood out in the distance as we passed by and there were sugar cane crops and macadamia trees. We have also seen t-tree being grown.

After leaving Ballina we made our way to Coffs Harbour passing banana plantations and blueberry farms.

We arrived in Coffs Harbour late afternoon and settled into our rooms before enjoying dinner.

Tomorrow we travel from Coffs Harbour to home.

Thank you for following our tour.

Another magic day spent in Toowoomba. This morning we watched the Toowoomba Garden Festival Parade and what a great parade it was. It was wonderful to see the community come together supporting this annual event which this year showcased the honey bees.

After the parade we visited the Grand Champion Garden before we stopped at the Cobb and Co Museum where we had lunch before free time to wander at leisure.

After lunch we visited four exhibition gardens, with each having its own unique design, before returning to the motel.

We have enjoyed two fantastic days in Toowoomba however tomorrow we begin our journey home.

Our 3rd day on tour and we have had a great day.

This morning we visited the beautiful Laurel Bank Gardens, a public garden with superb displays of colourful garden beds.

We then travelled to Crows Nest where we spent time at the Crows Nest Museum and Historical Village. This museum was extremely well set out with labelled memorabilia and interesting items which also told the history of the beginning of Ray White Real Estate.

Another highlight of the morning was the opportunity to visit the Regional Grand Champion Garden in Crows Nest which was a magnificent garden showcasing a kaleidoscope of fantastic colour and variety of plants. Tonight we are on channel 7 in Toowoomba being filmed at the garden.

We enjoyed lunch at The Farmers Arms Hotel before visiting the Spring Bluff Railway Station and Queens Park with both attractions providing beautiful gardens to wander.

Tomorrow we are looking forward to the Grand Parade and visiting more gardens.

Thank you for following our tour.

This afternoon we arrived in Toowoomba after travelling from Armidale.

We stopped at Tenterfield for morning tea and our lunch stop was in Warwick.

Today we have seen some beautiful scenery. The wattle has been a mass of colour and we have passed several market gardens as well as the fruit growing areas of Stanthorpe and surrounds and the crop growing areas of the Darling Downs. Driving out of Warwick we noticed a large solar farm which wasn't here on our previous travels.

We have seen sheep, cattle, goats and camels today.

On arrival in Toowoomba we made our way to Picnic Point for amazing views of the Lockyer Valley. We also admired the beautiful gardens
and look forward to viewing more gardens tomorrow and Saturday and watching the parade.

After our visit to Picnic Point we visited the information centre before arriving at our motel which is home for three nights.

Thank you for following our tour.

Yesterday was the first day of our Toowoomba Tour - our last tour which Darrel and I are escorting. We are travelling with Kings of Newcastle with Rodney King being our driver.

Everyone boarded the coach in good spirits looking forward to the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers.

We stopped at Singleton for morning tea and Tamworth for lunch before arriving in Armidale just after 4.00 p.m.

The weather was perfect and we are hoping it stays that way for the next couple of days.

We have seen areas of canola which stand out being a very vibrant yellow. We have passed horse studs, lush paddocks and some very dry areas. The clouds were a stunning colour last night reflecting the sunset.

It was a good travel day.

Thank you for following our tour.
