Situated in the foothills of the spectacular ‘Lost World’ section of the Lamington National Park, ‘Cedar Glen’ is a unique place to experience. The Stephens family have worked the cattle property for over one hundred years, and it is steeped in history and family tradition. Guests staying with us can take part in a variety of farm activities and can also enjoy other holiday activities such as bush

walking, birdwatching, swimming, tennis, or simply relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Choose to stay in one of the 4 historic cottages located around the farm, separated by green fields and trees for privacy, but close enough to the main homestead for easy access to farm activities and the dining room.

I spy with my little eye… new fencing 😎🐑

Anyone that’s been out to the farm over the recent months knows how desperately the farm needed new fences and this was a TOP priority when we took over back in November.

This also makes it so much easier for us to move our sheep, alpacas and ponies from paddock to paddock 🐑🦙🐴.

Decided to put the camels in the cottage paddock for a few days while we don’t have many guests so they can have a bit of variety. #cedarglenfarmstay #camels

Come and enjoy a guided alpaca walk around the farm! Our Alpaca walks are available to anyone wether you are staying with us or not. Bookings are essential as we have limited spaces available each walk. To book email [email protected]

Goldie’s new lamb born last night. I think we will call him Piper. Prada has done such a good job this lambing with not one loss of any lambs even though we have heard the wild dogs about! September to November will be critical as this is when the wild dogs generally teach their young pups to hunt and our sheep and lambs are easy hunting for them. I will be moving them every night to the stables for some added protection and Hopefully Prada will be able to protect them during this time.

Miss Piggy had her piglets today and Prada the Maremma is in full guardian mode with her new arrivals. Miss piggy is very used to having Prada around so is t at all stressed of concerned about her being there. I haven’t counted them@properly yet but I think there is around 10-12 little piglets 🐷

For a long time I didn’t know why the guests kept moving the stone around the outdoor fires. It was such a pain having to pick them all up and put them back! Frustrating! And then I saw the alpacas using the fire pits as their personal rolling pits and it all made sense…….

Lisa had triplets at midnight last night! Three healthy boys. They are feeding well so at this moment I will leave them all with her and intervene if I need to. It’s a P year so I need three boys names starting with P!

Caramels and Paris’s calves running amuck!

Today was one of those days on the farm that you never want to have. Our beautiful Camel Mika went down and there was nothing I could do to save her. We suspect some sort of poison either from something she ate or possibly a snake bite, we will never really know. RIP Mika we all loved you so very much 💕
