The Meat Room are passionate about good quality meat, small producers and local community. Established in 2012 by James Mele, an Artisan Butcher who is mad about meat, traditional Italian food and good old customer service.

Whilst Kathy and James’ focus is on bespoke butchering, and they can do just about anything you want to do with beef, lamb or pork, they also care about where the meat comes from and where it is going. They love meeting farmers and foodies, and you’ll often find them at speciality farmer markets and events.

TMR have been running classes for many years, which offer not only a fun day out with a scrumptious lunch, but the opportunity to learn to make sausages, or BBQ & Smoking from a pro.

Did you know that we have our very own one-stop gourmet food shop in Kilmore? TMR opened Providore in 2020, and are continually adding new products to the range. Based in Kilmore East, you’ll find Providore open Friday’s 9-5pm, Saturday’s 9-1pm.
