On Wednesday we celebrated Captain’s Choice official 30th anniversary in the Maasai Mara with our Africa Private Jet guests. A special celebration and dance with 30 Maasai men and 30 Maasai women.

On this day, 30 years ago, we embarked on our first ever journey. Our privately chartered Qantas 767 departed from Sydney to Asia and Africa promising “thirteen days in six of the world’s most famous and exotic destinations”. Hundreds of journeys later – we still specialise in the remote and unique.

Our Egyptian immersion is like no other. We cruise aboard our privately chartered small ship from Cairo for 11 nights, sailing little-know sections of the Nile. We gain exclusive access to the feet of the Sphinx. We embark our private plane to Abu Simbel for the day to explore Temple of Ramses II. And we enjoy the Egyptian Museum to ourselves for a few hours away from the crowds.

In 2024, Captain’s Choice celebrates thirty years of creating unrivalled travel experiences. True to its original name, 'The Captain's Choice Tour' was planned to be a one-off event. Departing in September 1994, ‘The Captain’s Choice Tour’ travelled to Beijing, Delhi, Jerusalem, Tanzania, Seychelles, and Broome - destinations considered remote and exotic at the time - aboard a chartered Qantas 767 over 13 days.
