I'd like to introduce to all to a group of incredibly courageous and inspirational, intrepid cyclists that are on an epic fund-raising mission to cycle 3500km from Harare, Zimbabwe to Angola. Their goal is to bring awareness to, and to raise much needed funds to support the destitute pensioners in Zimbabwe who have been abandoned by their government, and some, sadly, by their families. These pensioners, of all races, have no pension funds to rely on and receive zero assistance from the Zimbabwe government, and would literally starve to death, if not for caring and compassionate humanitarians like the Old Legs Tour organisation, who do this to raise money for the pensioners so they can have the basic food and medical suppliers they need to survive.
I encourage you all to follow the daily entertaining updates of the on facebook, and please please please, donate to their worthy cause! Details for the donations can be found on their page. They are currently on day 23 having navigated their way through the most remote and inaccessible regions which have been physically gruelling and mentally challenging to say the least. They and have endured endless obstacles and challenges along the way, but they just soldier on with tenacity, resiliently determined to achieve their goal. They truly are the most remarkable, admirable and inspirational group of men and women and deserve global recognition and support for what they have achieved. 😍
