Yesterday we visited 7 breweries as we made a trip to Newcastle and back for a private booking. Had and absolute blast and thanks to the crew that joined us and all our hosts.

Apart from tours we do some ratings. Tonight we review this Sunday dinner special. We have always rated the Big Shed Brewing Californicator highly so when this Double Californicator hit the shelf just had to try . At 9.8% West Coast Double IIPA has the same great taste and hard to believe this is a 9.8%. There are plenty of IPA's around 6% that are thicker and heavier than this beauty. This is a really good drop, heavier on the wallet than the palate but if you want a quality brew I recommend this with a spicy meal to give an amazing balance.
Seriously if you see this on the shelf grab it, chill it, drink it! 9/10

Erina is our next stop, to Six String Brewing Company where they're all about great beer and great music - which we think is a great combination too! Six String is coastie born and bred, with their beers brewed and packaged on site in Erina.
