Alright hoomans, when you’re treating your pup to a hotel staycation, here’s what you can’t forget to pack

🍽️ Food! Not all hotels serve up meals for pups, so make sure I’ve got my fave grub.

😋 Tasty treats (you know I can’t travel without my roo tendon & lamb snacks)

🧸 Enrichment toys to keep me busy—my snuffle ball is a must for playtime and fetch! 🎾

🧼 Wipes to keep my paws clean before I step into our gorgeous room

🛏️ My cozy blanket, ‘cause a pup needs familiar smells to snooze in style.

🌿 Calming spray, just in case I need extra zen after a long day of exploring.

👕 And of course, my stylish outfits

What a legend!

Mickey has been rescued ✊🫶
Tomorrow morning he will be released back into the area. I assure you Mickey won't go back into the centre. This boy was so relieved to see blue sky's. Four weeks trapped in a shopping centre is enough to turn him away. I'm so glad I saw this on socials this morning and I had the day off to suss it out!

A rainy Sunday afternoon spent visiting the Ludlow Settlement. It’s currently being restored by the (mostly volunteers) Ludlow Tuart Forest Restoration Group.

There’s a 2.8 km walk trail through the State Forest which is dog friendly (just be aware it’s baited). There were so many butterflies and wildflowers today. The butterflies seemed to like hanging around Sauv when we walked!

The old timber cottages are currently being restored to become short term accommodation, plus camping and caravan sites.

Definitely recommend going to check it out if you haven’t before! 📸.photography

Kerrie Giddings is a Mildura, Australia based, award winning
artist. Her work focuses on detailed, whimsical portraits of both
people and pets, often with a costume theme.

Kerrie’s client work primarily focuses on pencil and pastel art,
she ocassionally showcases skills in oil and acrylic paint.

Andy and Molly is named after Kerrie’s beloved ragdoll cat and
border collie dog, and although they have since passed, they are
kept close to heart by being imortalised in a portrait.

We’re excited to be running craft activities for junior cat-lovers at an upcoming event using old socks to create toys for our feline friends 😸 So check your sock drawer for any lone socks or those you no longer wear (not too holey please) and bring them in.

PetFest is making a return to Holroyd Gardens in Merrylands on Sunday 20 October from 10am to 2pm.

Council is seeking suitable vendors to provide food and retail market activities, and organisations to join our celebrations!

To be considered for this event, please complete the EOI application form available on our website.
