Whale Sightings - Wednesday 31 August 2022

🐳 🐳3.10pm Buttons and Bobby are 150 metres south of Basham Beach.

🐳🐳 2.40pm A Mother and calf pair are 2 kilometres south-east of Miami Boulevard, Middleton. The calf has done a few breaches!

🐳🐳 🐳🐳 🐳 2.20pm Buttons and Bobby are 700 metres south of Basham Rise, Middleton. Nettie and her calf are 1600 metres south behind Fenchman Rock, alongside a single whale named Rina.

🐳🐳1.35pm - Mother and calf pair are 2 kilometres south of Boettcher Rd, Middleton.

🐳🐳 1.05pm - Polly and Jack are 600 metres south-west of Boettcher Rd, Middleton

🐳🐳 🐳🐳 🐳 12.10pm Two Mother and calf pairs and a single whale has been spotted around Basham Rise. Middleton. Nettie and her calf have been rolling 800 metres east of Basham Rise, with single whale Rina with them, while Buttons and Bobby have been spotted near the reef. Bobby has a tail on mums head.

🐳🐳 11.30am - Buttons and Bobby are 300 metres south of Basham Beach, Middleton. The pair have been observed rolling around and under the surface alot.

🐳🐳 🐳🐳 🐳🐳 🐳🐳 10.15am - Four pairs have been seen around Frenchman Lookout, Port Elliot. Two pairs are off Frenchman Lookout. while the other two pairs are heading for Pullen Island.

🐳🐳 10.00am - Mother and calf are 100 metres east behind Pullen Island, Port Elliot.

🐳🐳 🐳🐳 🐳🐳 8.20am - Three Mother and calf pairs are around Basham Beach/Frenchman Rock, Port Elliot.
One pair is about 700 metres from Basham Beach. Another pair is approximately 200 metres in front of Frenchman Rock with a third pair approximately 250 metres behind Frenchman Rock swimming towards Commodore Point.

🐳🐳 🐳🐳 🐳🐳 7.50am - Three Mother and calf pairs are around Frenchman Rock, Port Elliot.

🐳🐳 7.30am - A whale/s have been sighted off Boettcher Rd, Middleton. One whale is loafing about 700 metres off shore.

🐳 7.15am - An unidentified whale has been observed near Fisherman Bay/Frenchman Rock, Port Elliot.

🐳🐳 🐳🐳 7.10am - Blows from a whale/s was observed approximately 600 metres south of Basham Beach, while another whale/s has been reported east of Frenchman Rock, Port Elliot.
