For the first six weeks of 2022, will be hosting a weekly crit group online, where you can share your project, progress, and feedback with a group of like minded creators.

As well as running our own trips for artists, The Artist Expedition Society works with arts organisations trying to develop their own trips. Recently we have been working with Arlpwe Art and Culture Centre on a project in the Ali Curung community just 30kms off the Stuart Highway.

Aboriginal artists in Ali Curung paint a lot of bush foods, and they want to share information about these bush foods with visitors looking at their paintings in the art gallery. We are helping them design an experience to do just this.

Australia's dark skies are some of the best in the world. It is not surprising that Aboriginal people have such a strong Cultural connection to astronomy.

Mr Anderson is a Euahlayi elder from Goodooga in NSW who has shared in-depth information about Kamilaroi and Euahlayi astronomical knowledge.

Ghillar Michael Anderson has had a 2.7-kilometre-diameter asteroid named after him to acknowledge his contribution to astronomy and traditional star knowledge.

Hiking through meadows of Mula Mula's on the Ormiston Pound Walk - 8kms of pure bliss!

This walk has transformed since the awful bushfires in 2019 that totally desolated the Centralian landscape. A few good rains at the start of this year unlocked the plentiful seedbanks. The seeds can lay dormant underground for years waiting for the perfect conditions. 2021 is the year of the Mula Mula!

We're science communicators with a knowledge of and/or to join our team. We will need at least one full time person to start in late summer but are very happy to consider job share, or applicants who can only do part time or as freelancers.

Experience as an amateur astronomer and/or degree in a relevant topic is essential but more importantly we are looking for your love of the night sky and a deep motivation and ability to communicate that inspiration to the public.
