PRESS RELEASE – The Robert Burns Celtic Festival Committee is presenting a “Burns Beyond Scotland” event at Wuurong Cottage, Dr John and Carolyn Menzies are hosting this Winter Soiree that will see International Scottish Tenor Alan Beck, Pianist Jane McSween and Howlin’ Wind perform on Wednesday the 31st July. Dr Menzies said that having Alan Beck perform in Camperdown will round off what has been a very successful Robert Burns Celtic Festival. Mr Beck is in Australia and performing at the Melbourne Tartan Festival. Tenor Alan Beck studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. In the early hours today Jeremy Lee hosted his ABC South West VIC morning show live from The Loaf and Lounge. Special thanks all of our local guests, and to the newly formed Corangamite Celtic Choir for singing! Last night we had 50+ at the movie night to help us kick-off and at 6.30 tonight the SOLD OUT Gala Dinner begins... but don’t worry there is a Festival Concert tonight at the Killara Centre featuring Peter Daffy and Friends Celtic band and The Twa Bards, come along :)

Only one day to go! ... Actually we kick-off the RBCF2024 Festival tomorrow night with movie night at the Killara centre. Dr John Menzies will be piping from the clock tower on Saturday and Sunday morning - markets are also on both days and it is the winter solstice this weekend!
