Facebook Guidelines
Lord Howe Island is a community of travel enthusiasts, residents, visitors (past and present) and fans of Lord Howe. We exist to provide a space for positive dialogue about the island we love, Lord Howe. We have established the following Facebook guidelines, to ensure all fans have a good experience.
These apply to anyone who uses the official Lord Howe Island fan page, or their own page to discuss Lord Howe Island related topics. By using this page and posting a comment or other content, you agree to these terms.
Lord Howe Island reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion to remove, edit, or otherwise modify any posting that does not adhere to these guidelines.
1. Please respect other users. This means that your comments/materials must not be inappropriate, abusive or otherwise offensive, and must not contain, discuss, depict or involve, without limitation, any of the following: profanity or otherwise crude, vulgar or offensive language; derogatory characterizations of any ethnic, racial, sexual or religious groups; content that endorses, condones or discusses any illegal, inappropriate or risky activity, behaviour or conduct.
2. Lord Howe Island respects intellectual property laws. By posting material on our page, you represent that you have the right to share the material in your posting, including, without limitation, trademarks and copyrighted material.
3. The views expressed on our page do not necessarily represent or reflect the views of Lord Howe Island, its management or employees. Lord Howe Island is not responsible for, and disclaims any and all liability to the fullest extent permitted by law for the content of comments written by contributors to their page.
4. This is meant to be a place to share your opinions and your thoughts. Any postings that contain advertisements, "spam" or junk mail content, or references to other websites will be removed. Trolls will be banned and postings by trolls will be removed.
5. Any posts discussing or referencing the Lord Howe Island Rodent eradication program will be removed.
6. Any images posted to our wall can be shared by Lord Howe Island Tourism across our social media channels.
