Always check your load is tied down properly!!! I restored a midcentury draw leaf table recently the clients decided not to trust the removal isthmus when they moved to their new house and put the table in a trailer tieing the legs but not the top which only sat on the frame by two steel locating bolt pins screwed into the bottom of the top well on the trip the top lifted and few of down the road ripping out the pins breaking two edge strip's and one corner and sever gravel rash on the bottom..pictures show patches and repairs but not skill required to patch and replace edge strip's and veneer and staining and colour matching to the undamaged top poling

This week's job refinishing two Griffith tablecraft Australian rosewood cabinet tops circa 1986 I worked there briefly when I first moved to Murwillumbah they were in the 70s 80s and 90s makers of a range of slab furniture and refractory tables with a art gallery, showroom and restaurant on the property and shop in Sydney..rosewood is renowned for its smell and the oil in it eventually effects the finish causing to go rough or crocodile craze as shown.
