Brittney has been working on the trains for 14 years. Leaving school at a young age to travel the world, she came home to Australia to chase her dream of working in hospitality. During her tenure at Journey Beyond, Brittney has held many positions, including customer service, hosting and now Journey Manager.

She is passionate about people, supporting her team to ensure guests onboard experience a journey they will never forget. After spending half her life on trains, she is still in awe of every sunrise, sunset and the incredible wonders of her office, the Australian outback. Brothers Charles and Carl have been working for Journey Beyond for nearly two years. Charles was already working on train when he saw that Journey Beyond was looking for Hospitality Attendants and thought his brother would be the perfect fit! Not long after, Carl went on his first journey and Charles asked his Journey Manager Tom if Carl could be “adopted” into their crew. As to be expected, people always got the two of them mixed up! Guests would call Charles ‘Carl’ and Carl ‘Charles.’

On Carl’s sixth journey the two brothers were placed in the same section on train, this was very confusing for guests – asking one brother for something, and then having the other have no idea what they were talking about. However, the two of them played into this a little bit and would sometimes swap name badges and get everyone confused, even the other crew members!
