Campbell Town is home to an impressive collection of colonial buildings, including The Grange, which was designed by convict architect James Blackburn in the 1840s. The house was built in 1847, and is an outstanding Victorian rustic Gothic manor of national heritage significance. Today, The Grange operates as a function and conference centre. 🌳🏡

Step back in time with a visit to the heritage village of Ross. Explore the quaint town, ponder your fate at the four corners, enjoy a bite to eat (scallop pies and vanilla slice are a must), see the famous Ross Bridge (c. 1836) with its intricate carvings, admire the Ross Uniting Church (c. 1885), pop into the shops, and visit the Tasmanian Wool Centre, Ross. 🐑📬🌳

Callington Mill by night is pure magic! The Georgian windmill was built in 1837 and is the oldest working mill of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. Tours are no longer running, but you are welcome to walk around the site and have a look. 🌌🍞

Touring around Tasmania for a few days is international cider judge (thanks to Cider Australia and Tasmanian Cider Trail members) is Eric West from Cider Guide USA. Catching up with Trail members and all things fermenting with Chair Kim Seagram FermenTasmania and Tasmanian Cider Trail members this week including Brady's Lookout Cider Frank's Cider Pagan Cider Simple Cider Spreyton Cider Co Winter Brook Vineyard and Willie Smith's Apple Shed. He will also be at UTAS Sandy Bay with Associate Degree Fermentation students and PhD candidate Maddy Way. Should be a great few days of all things cider and the best Tasmania has to offer including a little bush walking thrown in. We hope you enjoy your stay Eric. Here he is at his first stop with Frank Huissman Brook Vineyard
