Arriving into NSW from overseas?

You must enter hotel quarantine for 14 days if:

• You’re not fully vaxxed
• You have been in or transited through a country of concern in the 14 days before your arrival in NSW, regardless of your vaccination status

You do not need to enter hotel quarantine if you’re fully vaxxed and arriving from an overseas country, but not a country of concern. You must:

• Travel directly from the airport to your home or accommodation where you will self-isolate via private vehicle, rideshare or taxi – do not take public transport
• Self-isolate for 72 hours
• Get a PCR (nose and throat swab) test within 24 hours of arrival and again on or after day 6 (a test on day 12 is strongly recommended) – do not use a self-testing kit
• You can leave self-isolation after 72 hours ONLY if you have returned a negative PCR test result – follow the NSW Health guidelines for recent fully vaccinated arrivals after you leave self-isolation
• Avoid high-risk places such as hospitals and aged care facilities until you get a negative day 6 result

Fines apply for not following self-isolation and testing rules.

You can get tested at any COVID-19 testing clinic in NSW. Testing is free.
