JAPAN IS BACK IN BUSINESS!

Effective 11 October, Japan will remove entry restrictions for foreign nationals.

After almost two and a half years of tight border restrictions due to COVID-19, Japan will finally open its borders to individual tourists, and visa exemption arrangements with 68 countries/regions will be resumed.

The daily entry cap will be also removed, and the process of the ERFS (Entrants, Returnees Follow-up System) completed by the host entities in Japan will be no longer be required for new entry of foreign nationals into Japan.

🛫🛫 BIG CHANGES FOR TRAVEL FROM 6 JULY 🛫🛫

• People entering Australia do not need to provide evidence of vaccination status
• People entering Australia do not need to complete the Digital Passenger Declaration or Maritime Travel Declaration
• People leaving Australia will not be asked to provide evidence of their vaccination status
• Unvaccinated visa holders do not need a travel exemption to travel to Australia
Masks are still required for international flights to Australia.

Travellers are still required to meet pre-COVID travel requirements including a valid passport and visa if required.

Just finished up my first trip overseas since pre pandemic… to Bali! Jetstar continues to have awesome sales to get there, and the Balinese are so happy to have tourism kicking back into gear!

Some things to note about Bali in 2022…
* It takes a while to get through the airport checkpoints - allow 1.5 hours or more in peak times.
* As at June 2022, many shops remain closed temporarily or permanently. There is definitely enough buzz in the main areas of Kuta, Seminyak, Legian and Canggu though!
* Masks are currently worn by many workers but are not expected to be worn by the public, unless in medical areas or airports.
* Many hotels currently have great discounts to lure tourists back!
* If you’ve not been, or forgot, customer service in Bali is exceptional in most cases, and the people are so very lovely. We were continually thanked for coming back to visit 🙏🏻
* The “calm before the storm” vibe is so good atm, it means traffic isn’t always at a standstill and you can actually ride a scooter without verging on a heart attack (most days).
* DPS airport has very little to do when your flight is delayed. Most shops are closed, even the spa 💆‍♀️- the horror!!!

Over the pandemic, many insurers paused on issuing policies. During this time, they worked on being able to cover travelers for some Covid-19 related situations (as opposed to pre-Covid, when pandemics were often simply not covered).
