StelaVino Guided Wine Tours, South East Tasmania, offers a full day to discover Tasmania’s award winning wines, tempting food and incredible scenery. This tour is a privately owned and operated business committed to providing THE very best wine tour experiences and a memorable day amongst the vines. No one will care for you like the owner will, it’s his passion after all. This is not a bus tour, it’s a tour with a man who will share his lifetime of knowledge amongst the grapes.
Grapes have played an important role in the development of Tasmania – William Bligh planted the first grapes in Tasmania in 1788 at Adventure Bay on Bruny Island. In 1803 the first vines were planted on the shores of the Derwent, but the industry did not take root and grow until the 1970’s ….come on the tour and find out why.
StelaVino offers a full day wine tour each in one or more of the 4 sub-regions, including lunch and a complimentary glass of wine. You will sample award winning, cool climate wines as we visit 5 vineyard/cellar doors in one of the 4 sub-regions each day – the Coal River Valley / Huon Valley and D’Entrecasteaux Channel / The Derwent Valley and the southern tip of the east coast region.
