To all my amazing followers! I will soon be closing my MTA Travel business as I am about to start a new job next week! My MTA business will close on 30th June and I will not be taking on any new enquiries from now on! I will still be in the travel industry but will be the travel organiser for bands that are touring Australia! If you have credits, gift vouchers, waiting on refunds or have future bookings then this will still happen as head office will take over my work. My Travel Story
Ever since my first holiday to Fiji when I was a teenager I knew I wanted to work in the Travel Industry. I had no idea how different another country lived compared to Australia and I wanted to see more of the world as Fiji was beautiful.
Since leaving school I achieved my advanced certificate in Travel and Tourism and started working in the travel industry shortly after at Concorde Travel. Many years later I moved on to Atoll Travel where I helped arrange surfing trips for groups chasing the perfect wave. Then I started with Show Travel organising tours for bands and entertainers. Then I thought it was time to actually experience part of the world so I moved to London for a couple of years where I worked for Travel by Appointment and sent approximately 2000 people to the European MTV awards 2 years in a row. The highlight was attending the awards in Rome and Edinburgh. Whilst in London I also worked for CNN news sending reporters urgently to the latest news story. I also met my now husband in London.
After returning back to Australia I worked in Melbourne, Bunbury, Brisbane and now Perth. I had a year at Flight Centre Bunbury and in Brisbane and Perth I worked for Qantas Holidays for approximately 7 years.
I have been lucky enough to travel to Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, New Zealand, Bali, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Phuket, Singapore, Maldives, Malaysia, UK, Paris, Italy, Ireland, Belgium, Amsterdam, Turkey, Athens, Greek Islands, Germany, Spain, Dubai, South Africa, Hawaii, experienced a Cruise and have travelled extensively throughout Australia.
After a few years working in the retail industry and raising my 3 children I have realised how much I miss the travel industry and when the opportunity came up to work with the MTA family I jumped at the chance and am so excited to be back in the industry that I know and love.
As a Mobile Travel Agent I am flexible to meet my clients at their convenience whether it be my house, their house or the local coffee shop. With my 20 years of travel experience and knowledge I can’t wait to help organise your next dream holiday.
