Subclass 408 Australian Government endorsed events (COVID-19 Pandemic event) is closing soon to all applicants!!!

From 2 September 2023 to 31 January 2024, only existing COVID-19 Pandemic event visa holders are eligible for a COVID-19 Pandemic event visa.

The COVID-19 Pandemic event visa will close to all applicants on 1 February 2024.

Hurry and lodge your application before it closes on 01 Feb 2024.

Recent announcement on Subclass 485 visa:
Changes to Temporary Graduate visa lodgement for applications lodged from 25 November 2023

For applications lodged from 25 November 2023, all Temporary Graduate visa applicants need to be in Australia at time of lodgement. Subsequent entrant applicants can be located in or outside Australia at time of lodgement.

Temporary Graduate visas will continue to be granted to applicants located in or outside Australia (but not in immigration clearance).

Update from the Department of Home Affairs:
Transitional arrangements place to support other graduates, Subclass 408 eligibility with 2 years stay.

Temporary Graduate visa holders in Australia whose visas expired or will expire between 1 September 2022 and 1 July 2023, or Temporary Graduate visa holders who were in Australia throughout the pandemic period and are therefore not eligible for the TGV Replacement stream, may be eligible for the COVID-19 Pandemic Event (subclass 408) visa with a 2-year stay period. You must be working in Australia or have an offer of employment.

You must apply 90 days before your TGV expires, or 28 days after your TGV expires to be eligible for a Pandemic event visa.

If you are granted a 408 Pandemic Event visa, you will not be eligible to then apply separately for an extended TGV. You should evaluate your options carefully before you apply.
