Pakistani mountaineer Sajid Sadpara has achieved a successful ascent of Nanga Parbat, the ninth-highest mountain in the world, without using oxygen support. As part of a lead rope fixing team, Sadpara reached the summit of the 8,126-meter peak alongside mountaineers from Russia, Nepal, and Turkey.

The accomplishment was announced by Sadpara himself on Twitter. Seven Summit Treks, an official mountaineering company based in Nepal, also confirmed the news on social media, mentioning the successful summit of a team of 20 international climbers, including notable individuals such as Kristin Harila, Sherpa Tenjen (aka Lama), and Mingtemba.

The climb marked significant milestones for Harila and Tenjen as part of the Fastest 14 Peaks project, with Nanga Parbat being their 10th ascent of an 8,000-meter peak. Additionally, Sophie Lavaud and Tunc Findik completed their journey of conquering all 14 peaks above 8,000 meters by scaling Nanga Parbat.

Sajid Sadpara, who previously achieved fame by summiting K2 at the age of nineteen, has now successfully climbed six peaks without the use of supplemental oxygen. Earlier this year in April, he made history by ascending Mount Annapurna, the tenth-highest peak in the world, without oxygen assistance.

Amazing Deudhunga, Dolakha. ❤️😊🙏

Deudhunga is located in Remote Bigu Rural Municipality of Dolakha. Bigu RM is mostly popular for visiting the oldest “Bigu Gumba” hence people are less known about “Deudhunga”. It is only 5 hrs Hike From Bigu Gumba and one shouldn’t really miss this place while being to Bigu.
