Oz Outback Adventure Tours is an Australian owned business based on the Gold Coast, Queensland. The business was formed from our passion for the Australian Outback. Our vision of giving people an experience they will forever cherish by personally sharing our vast knowledge and bush skills will ensure your journey of a lifetime will be etched in your memory for
ever. It is our wish that our tours will put a smile on your face for so many years to come as you reminisce about your time with us. Each tour has been created to fully maximise your experience. We are committed to showing you how beautiful our part of the world is so we’ve limited our tours to 4-6 people to give you unlimited access to us, your personal tour guides. We pride ourselves on our honesty, integrity, attention to detail, and we ensure your safety is paramount at all times. We love what we do and we are very proud and very passionate about our country and the destinations we take you to. We had so much fun in 2016 and are set to top it this year. We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful and happy New Year. We spent time with our loved ones, beautiful friends and amazing family....Life doesn't get better than that ❤️😍😃

We may have been faced with adversity on our recent Birdsville Tour.......yet somehow we managed to fulfil our promises to our wonderful guests.. Looks like we were only a week in front of weather/rain that would have made things a whole lot different....

Day 13
After arriving at Carnarvon Gorge late yesterday evening, our guests awoke to the surroundings of a lush rainforest. After breakfast we headed off for a trek up the gorge. How proud we were that ALL of our guests conquered the walk :-)

The Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame museum tour and Outback show. Our guests loved it... another awesome Day :-)

Day 11 (Part 1)
Today we visited the Age of Dinosaur Museum in Winton and then set off to our next destination, Longreach. Checked our guests in to the gorgeous Kinnon and Co self contained lodges whilst K was off to have her ankle looked at and x-rayed (no X-ray provision between Birdsville and Longreach) outcome= no major break :-) 👍 tendon and soft tissue damage.
Now off on a sunset paddlesteamer cruise, dinner and show... Part 2 to follow :-)

Day 10 (we may or may not have forgotten to mention K breaking her ankle on Day 8 :-o ) saw us leaving Bedourie, stopping for lunch at Boulia and driving on to Winton where we stayed overnight at the North Gregory Hotel.... True to form our adventure continues :-P

Day 9
The roads have been opened and allowed us to leave good ol Birdsville...
So from Birdsville to Bedourie we went. The amount of water still on the road, the side of the roads and in the distance was an amazing sight. Arrived just in time to witness the sunset :-)

Day 8
Birdsville Races!! First time in history the races have been held on a Sunday. First time in history there were 11 races in one meet and WE were a part of it :-) Another great day had by all. It was then back to camp for cheese n bickies followed by a pizza, beer 🍻 and wine night.
Someone's gotta do it.....may as well be us :-P

Day 6 Part 3
After a nice roast dinner we all set off to the famous and iconic 'Fred Brophy's Boxing Tent' and had a great show put on for us and the crowd.
It's been a long day, we're all off to bed now.. Nighty night :-)

Day 6
The heavens continued to open up overnight leaving us to wake up to....... (see pics below) Mud, slush, water, you name it we've got it. Thanks to wonderful Sharon and Stephan we've relocated our guests to a dry, clean garage.

Day 5 Part 1
Apparently it only rains in Birdsville 5 days a year, so it awaited our arrival and opened the flood gates. Needless to say our plans for the day and tomorrow and Saturday have changed somewhat. We haven't let it beat us. We're still laughing, reliving our childhood playing in the mud lol 😁 Part 2 to follow :-P

Day 4 Today we said goodbye to Quilpie and drove right through to Birdsville. Weather bomb is predicting more rain and we weren't risking not making it to the races.

Day 1 (Sunday)
Collected our wonderful guests bright and early and headed first to Toowoomba for morning-tea and then on to our favourite publican Bruce at Mungallala pub. Everyone had such a great night. We all had soooo many laughs. Wonderful start to the trip. :-)

Good Morning to you all, our loyal FB followers... It has been a while between posts and we apologise. There is a motto that we ALL seem to adhere to and that's 'Family Comes First'. One of our precious cherubs needed us and we needed to be there for them. We are happy to report that 'all is good in the hood' ;-) and we are back on board. Have a Great Monday... H & K
