PSA about our shared Economy, from a Brewery on a Farm in Tasmania. Please support your Local Grower, Maker, Farmer, Business.

What I like about this photo is that I look the same height as The Man, The Legend, The Two Metre Tall Brewery, Ashley Huntington. Jane, Life and Business Partner to Ashley, and the prettier 50% of this absolute gem of a Tassie Business is just out of shot, looking after my Drink Explorers.

For gifts this season, go for Local, Sustainable and try for Direct. Yes Retail can be convenient but let's not forget the small and micro-businesses as well that are so often a massive sacrifice to pursue a passion.

A purchase at the Markets, at the Farmgate, the cellar, the distillery, the brewery is one of the best Trades you can do.

Stoked to be trying the brand new released December 2024 that is only available by tackling a very dodgy driveway and getting it direct from Jane or Ashley.

Note to good job guys, now let's ease off for 2025

How good is this! It's no small thing to win the best of anything, let alone in the fiercely competitive and dynamoc world of Restaurants. Congratulations to the Derwent Valley's The Agrarian Kitchen for such a well deserved accolade - Restaurant of the Year!

If you haven’t heard the news, we are overjoyed and deeply humbled to share that last night, The Agrarian Kitchen restaurant was honoured with Gourmet Traveller’s “Restaurant of the Year” award.

The magnitude of this recognition is only beginning to sink in after such an emotional acceptance. We are truly grateful for all the well wishes we’ve received today; your kind words have been a heartwarming reminder of why we do what we do. It’s clear that our incredible community of supporters plays a vital role in our journey.

This award is as much a tribute to our remarkable team as it is to us. Their dedication and passion are what bring our vision to life and inspire us every day. Pro-tip: Be Bold and Start Cold! Being outside in Tasmania does present challenges to keeping warm, but layers is your smart choice. It does not take long at all for your body to warm up. Walking in the Wilderness when cold outside is one of lifes great pleasures.

It sure was a cold week. 7.30am and -6 in Ross Sunday. Twice to Cradle Mountain this week with plenty of snow and ice to navigate.

Its so invigorating and makes walking 🧊 parts of the track a little more challenging.

Another great group from all around the 🌎 to fully experience a truly majestic place in one big, beautiful day.

A winter highlight is sharing a meal by the fire at The Empire Hotel, Deloraine.

Tasmania's Dark Skies and Southern Lights are definitely worth making time for.

Unpredictable and Spectacular.

has a Dark Sky Feast for the lucky few who will make the effort to be there. You have to give Cally a 📞 and head to the Central Highlands just past New Norfolk in early August. You won't regret it.

And what a talented Mayor we have in the Derwent Valley, one of many beautiful captures of the recent Southern Lights spectacular in early May taken by amazing 📸's
