BlueMill Cottage and BlueMill Lodge are side-by-side, newly built and artfully decorated. Both properties accommodate up to six guests, and allow for a combination of bookings: as a couple’s retreat or as a family getaway. Old Mill Park is a well-loved and unique family home, perfect for a large extended family or a group of friends, and comfortably accommodates 18 people.

While the splash park at Bright sees less activity in the winter, it transforms into a hive of fun and cool relief in the summer.

Even in the colder months, it’s still nice to walk through, rugged up with a coffee before hitting the slopes. Plus, it’s just a short walk from all our properties.

Bright truly is the only place where there is no off-season, just different experiences.

We offer numerous entertaining and seating areas, perfect for large groups of friends and family at Old Mill Park.

One of the highlights is the main family dinner table, thoughtfully incorporated into the new design by our owner, Steve. This table has been transformed with a new timber top and now features a stylish 70’s shape.

Enjoy dinner there, pre-dinner drinks outside, or morning coffee on the verandah. The options are endless.

Fun Fact: Winter is an excellent time for spotting local wildlife in Bright, as birds and other animals often come closer to the ovens river, providing ideal opportunities for observation and photography. 📸

If little ones are part of your group, they will love this large bedroom, complete with fun bunk beds and an incredible selection of toys from the past, including a fantastic toy car collection and beautiful teddies 🧸 .

The best part is the lovely large floor area where they can spread out and play, just like we all did back in the day.

Planning a trip to Bright this weekend? Here’s a little suggestion for you!

Just a quick ten-minute drive from Bright town centre lies Nightingales. Here there is an abundance of delicious apples, pies, jams, sauces, cider, cheeses, and more!

There is space to sit outside and enjoy your goodies or you can select some of the most delicious ice creams, to enjoy on the drive back into town.

It’s a lovely outing that will add a little uniqueness to your getaway!

Take a trip down memory lane with us! This throwback captures the essence of the 1970s, featuring Steve and his siblings hanging out at their family home, Old Mill Park. With 11 children, the Grimes family found the perfect fit in this spacious and practical house, boasting large grounds and breathtaking views just five minutes from town. Even back then, the Water Tower stood as a timeless landmark.

Today, Old Mill Park has undergone meticulous renovations, transforming into a stylish and incredibly spacious accommodation. With the capacity to sleep up to 18 guests, it’s the ultimate getaway for large groups of friends, relatives, or families seeking comfort and convenience.

The Brighter Days Festival (held on the VIC Labour Day weekend) is an electrifying celebration of incredible musicians, artists, parades and raffles (incredible prizes!). It is also a fundraising event for several deserving Children’s Charities and has the strong support of the local Community.

Set against the magnificent backdrop of Bright, it unfolds into a three-day spectacle of unforgettable moments that must be experienced firsthand to truly appreciate. Festival goers visit from near and far eagerly immersing themselves in the activities.
