Oh Venice! Even tho it’s raining you still impress! We got out and explored a little and I am feeling so happy right now. It’s beautiful, it’s not cold, the food delicious, the people welcoming and we arrived at our hotel like rock stars. Venice can be expensive but we arrived by water taxi at the canal entrance to the hotel - loved it. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s wandering.

Indulge in a Bratwurst (of course) and some warm rum infused with blueberry’s, blackberries and spice. Quite delicious actually but rich!

Today was about shopping and food. Start with crepes at La Creperie after just casually walking past the Pantheon and the cafe from Emily in Paris.

On to Notre Dame which isn’t open to the public yet stopping at the Christmas markets and on to Galleries Lafayette - shopping at its finest with the most magnificent roof there is. Jess purchased a cashmere headband/ear muffs. Head up to the Terrace for a view of Paris and a bite to eat or just to purchase some Macarons.

Home for a rest then dinner locally enjoying red wine from the Bordeaux area and a white from the Loire Valley finishing with lime sorbet with vodka and a little ‘oops’ of extra vodka from the waiter.

PARIS - Today was all about Art, the streets and food. A walk to the Louvre avoiding the barricades, which was great as it made us walk through the cobbled streets of St Germaine.

The Louvre (priority pass is a must) was busy, big and impressive. See Venus de Milo and Mona Lisa before a wet and cold stroll to the Christmas Markets at Tuileries Gardens. Churros, Christmas ornament and jewellery purchased.

Ended our day with pasta and gelato (I know, not very French - but was deliciousis)

Our first day in London. So wonderful how familiar it all seems, doesn’t take long to get your bearings from The Palace to Trafalgar Square to Westminster Abby and Bog Ben, all easy to get to. Leicester Square and Camden Markets did not disappoint either.

Peggy’s Cove lighthouse sits atop the wave washed boulders overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Probably the most famous and certainly most photographed of the 160 historic lighthouses in Nova Scotia, Canada.

This rugged coastline is beautiful and wild and definitely a must see on your next Canadian adventure

Let me take you on a journey....

Travelling is a passion that lead me to a career. I’ve covered most of the globe, with travels in over 60 countries across five continents, including living in four countries. These travels have included the spectrum of hovels and hotels and modes of transport as I’ve enjoyed the backpacking lifestyle through to the good life. Chances are, as we talk about your travel needs and desires; I’ll have some personal experience of the destination and/or packages we’re putting together. With over 20 years industry experience, working in travel agencies in three countries, including establishing over a dozen retail outlets, a corporate division and a head office and the fancy title of Vice President – I have a wealth of travel knowledge and contacts at my fingertips. I have two great passions in my professional life – a love of organising travel and the joy of providing great customer service.
