There's so(oooo) much history in and around the Cape York Peninsula, it's no wonder people want to visit and take it all in.

Did you know? During WWII several airfields were established in Cape York, particularly around Weipa and The Tip - they were crucial for Allied forces.
Also, if you're travelling through the region, you might be (or maybe not?) aware of the number of WWII plane wreckages still in the area, they serve as a timely reminder of the intense military activity that once took place.

🔥The Starke Track is one of the more challenging rides on tour. It's geographically the most remote we go in relation to the public and resources. It's hot, sandy, washed out roads and dry river beds create a fun challenge on the DRZ400. One for the books that's for sure! Are you up for the challenge??
