Eventually this two bedroom holiday home on the edge of Ansons Bay, in Tasmania's Bay of Fires Conservation Area, will be available for holiday rental. For now, please enjoy the transformation from cold water, damp and musty deteriorating potential with killer views, to something amazing! Auld Reekie literally means 'old smokey' and is a British nickname for Edinburgh, Scotland. It's a long way fr

om Scotland, and there's nothing smokey about Ansons Bay. Actually the air is fresh and pure and blows cool from the Southern Ocean. The original owners named the property, so we decided to honour the shack with it's name as per the property deed. CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR RENOVATION.
