No one goes down the river without getting stuck on a rock. The most fun is when you end up going backwards or sidewards. By this time, you’re having too much fun and just going with the flow. The water is fresh and clear. In the calmer parts you can have a go at sitting on your sled, how long can you last before you fall off?
It’s currently the #tassieoffseason, a bit too cold to hit the water with our sleds at the moment. We’ll be back in November with a whole new season of white water adventures! In the meantime, you can see session times for next season, pre-book or buy gift vouchers via our website.

Beautiful day on the Meander River, or as Maree put it; "The best fun you can have with your pants on."
The Meander Valley region is located in the heart of Northern Tasmania. The town of Meander itself is located only a 50-minute drive from both Launceston and Devonport and is surrounded by well-known mountain ranges, Quamby Bluff and Mother Cummings Peak with the Greater Western Tiers beyond.
Meander Valley was initially inhibited by Pallittorre, a Tribe of the Traditional Custodians of our land; the Aboriginal Tasmanians. The rich history of this region allows exploration for excited visitors and proud locals.
Our wilderness playground, the Meander River flows through the centre of the township, surrounded by green pastures and native flora. It’s also where your adventure awaits!
Have you challenged yourself on the rapids yet?
The rapids look tame from a distance, but up close and personal. That's another story!

See you on the river!
When you're out on the river, there will be a couple of slippery moments. The upside is, you'll be having too much fun to even notice.
Make the most of the ups and downs. We're there with you every splash of the way.

See you on the river!
The colder days have us wishing we were back out on the water!
If there's one thing that's certain about river sledding, you're going to fall off your sled and get a bit wet. The positive of this? You won't even notice, too much fun being had!
After an intro from Andrew, it's time to hit the rapids!
Got to talk yourself through the tough parts!
