I was excited to explore the Isle of Skye and do some walking through some of the stunning landscape. Unfortunately we were hit with 80mph (yes miles!) winds the day we had planned to visit the Quirang so even getting out of the car was a treacherous and near impossible task! Isle of Skye is definitely on our list to return to - perhaps when the weather is a little friendlier (although can you ever predict that in Scotland? 😏)

A Wee White House under a big Ben. I was so sick the day we saw this I was barely able to walk 100m to get to this view but it was worth the struggle! 🗻

Lagangarbh Hut (known as the wee white house) is situated near Glencoe and used to be a crofting house. It is now owned by the National Trust and is used as lodging for mountaineers.

The scenery in Scotland took me by surprise. I always knew it would be beautiful but some of the areas we visited took my breath away!

This is the Glencoe highlands, where we were able to travel on one of the most scenic roads in Scotland, so beautiful we actually drove back here on our last day to see it one more time 😍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

One of my favourite things about seeing them in winter (aside from the snow!) was all of the amazing waterfalls running down the mountains after it rained.

Arrived in Edinburgh where we will spend the next few nights including Hogmanay - what a beautiful city! We spent today exploring Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❤️
