We had the privilege of curating a safari for the Bala family in celebration of their eldest daughter turning 18. "Sita and I took our daughters to Tanzania to celebrate our eldest finishing high school. Sita lived in Tanzania as a child and she understood the value of having people who are connected on the ground in Tanzania.
We had been to Tanzania 25 years ago, and we were nervous that this time may not be as good. We had nothing to worry about! The planning and ex*****on of our trip was top class.
The animals were amazing; our driver was top class, incredibly knowledgeable and competent. On our last day our 4WD got stuck in the mud and Regi bravely got us out, then we had a puncture 10 mins later. Without skipping a beat Reginald fixed the punctured tyre and got us all back safely and on time.
We saw basically everything and learned so much about the birds and animals. We spent 2 hours with a pride of lions including 5 females and 12 cubs who were all exhausted after devouring some much larger beast.
Pink flamingoes - tick . Buffalo - tick. Lions - tick, tick. Plenty of time with the elephants too. Learning to spend time near the animals and watch their behaviour up close is amazing. An unforgettable and life changing experience. So good for us and our family. Great accomodation and house of lodges too."
