Judging
Judging of the Awards is conducted by an independent panel of industry peers and business professionals. The judges’ role is to ensure that all Northern Territory entrants are judged effectively, fairly and equitably in a way that maximises the Northern Territory entrants’ chances of success at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards. Site visits are undertaken by the judges for business category entrants, with these scores contributing towards the final judging score. The purpose of the site visit is for verification of claims made within the written submission. All members of the judging team sign a confidentiality agreement and must declare any conflicts of interest. A Chairman and Independent Auditor are appointed to oversee the judging process and ensure compliance to all rules. All business category entrants receive feedback from the judges to assist with the development of future submissions and this is available once the winners have been announced. Winners of their respective business categories will also receive from the National judges once the winners of the Australian Tourism Awards are announced.
