ABOUT MYSELF
After I was made redundant from my mining job in the Pilbara, my wife Marion and I travelled around Australia in a 4WD, towing and living in a caravan for 6 years. In Australia, retired people enjoying and living this life style are referred to as “Grey Nomads”. During our time on the road, we visited every state and almost every town during every season. We did however take time out
to go on a few holidays such as Bali, back to the Pilbara to see our 2 daughters and their families, a cruise through the South China Sea, Egypt with a cruise down the Nile and a Mediterranean cruise. Our travel in the caravan gave us opportunities to work for Bush Church Aid. This allowed us to do volunteer work (gardening, painting, sewing, house maintenance, etc) for small churches in the country without many resources. Recently we have moved into a new home we have built on a 5 acre property south of Perth in West Australia.
